Faith-Filled Joys of the Season: 20 Little Blessings to Celebrate Every Day
Because God still meets us in the small and ordinary.
This season, I’ve been reflecting on the faith-filled joys of the season — those little moments that remind us how good God is. When we pause to notice the little joys of the season, our hearts grow lighter and more grateful.
There’s something about this season that invites us to slow down — even just for a moment — and remember that joy isn’t only found in grand celebrations or perfect plans. So often, the most meaningful blessings are tucked into the quiet corners of everyday life: a warm cup of coffee at sunrise… the glow of a single candle… a whispered prayer that only God hears.
As women, especially in midlife, we carry so many responsibilities, hopes, quiet worries we rarely say aloud. The holidays can magnify both the beauty and the ache. Yet even here, in the mix of peace and pressure, God is gently whispering:
“I am with you. Always.”
This month, instead of rushing, what if we took a moment to notice? What if we allowed the little things to become sacred?
Here are 20 faith-filled joys to help you savor the season with intention, presence, and a heart turned toward Him:

When the Holidays Feel Heavy
Maybe this year looks different.
Maybe someone is missing from the table.
Maybe your heart is carrying quiet hurts.
If that’s you — I see you.
More importantly… God sees you.
And He meets us right where we are. Not in the picture-perfect moment, but in the real, unpolished one. The weary one. The grateful one. The healing one.
This season isn’t asking you to do more.
It’s inviting you to notice more.
To slow down just enough to feel the warmth of His presence — right here, right now.
A Simple Prayer for This Season
Lord, help me savor the quiet wonders You place in my days.
Help me find joy in what is small, gratitude in what is ordinary,
and peace in every moment You are near.
Remind me that You came close — Emmanuel —
and You are with me still. Amen.
